Private by default

The GTA 6 Wiki has no user accounts, comments, checkout, or contact forms. Optional analytics remains off until you allow it. The site does not sell personal information or use analytics for advertising.

Preferences kept on this device

The consent control stores your choice under thegta6wiki-analytics-consent in local storage so the site can honor it on later visits. Saved wiki entries use keys beginning with thegta6wiki-save-. These values stay in your browser and are not sent to this site or Google by our code.

They remain until you change the choice, unsave an entry, or clear this site's browser data.

Optional audience measurement

After consent, GA4 may receive the page URL and title, referrer, browser and device details, approximate geography, and standard engagement events such as page views, sessions, scrolls, and outbound link clicks. This helps identify useful pages, navigation problems, and broad traffic sources.

The implementation disables Google Signals and ad-personalization signals. It does not send names, email addresses, text typed into site search, saved wiki entries, or other directly identifying information through custom events.

GA4 uses first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_<container-id>. Google defaults these cookies to two years; this site overrides their expiry to 60 days from the latest accepted visit.

Accept, reject, or withdraw

Rejecting analytics prevents the Google tag from loading. Accepting loads it for the current and later pages on this device. Withdrawing consent disables future analytics calls and removes this site's GA4 cookies; it cannot undo measurements already sent.

Short-lived user-level data

The GA4 property uses the two-month retention option for user-level and event-level data, with reset-on-new-activity disabled. Google notes that this setting does not affect its standard aggregated reports. Consent and watchlist preferences remain in your browser until you remove them.

Request help with your data

Use the project's public issue tracker for privacy questions or removal requests. Do not post confidential information. Because the site has no accounts and does not collect names or email addresses, it may not be possible to connect an anonymous GA4 record to a particular visitor.
